1. About Garify
Garify operates a marketplace that connects vehicle owners with clients seeking vehicles for hire. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Garify is not the owner of vehicles listed on the platform and does not itself provide the underlying vehicle-hire service.
2. Account eligibility and accurate information
Users must provide accurate contact, identity, driving and vehicle information. Clients must hold a valid driving licence suitable for the requested vehicle. Owners must have the legal right to list each vehicle and must keep required registration, insurance and inspection documents current.
3. Listings and booking requests
Owners must keep availability accurate and are expected to be ready for every published date. Clients pay the full booking amount immediately after submitting trip details. The owner then confirms readiness. Listing descriptions, rules, rates and pickup arrangements form part of the booking terms.
4. Payments and fees
Garify collects the full vehicle rental charge and a KES 250 service fee immediately. Garify holds the rental funds and releases the owner earning after successful trip completion. Owner rejection, a missed owner response deadline, or another approved cancellation may place the full or applicable payment into the refund workflow. Garify does not charge a security deposit. Any legitimate return charges must be supported through the handover, return and dispute workflow and are handled separately.
5. Vehicle handover, use and return
Clients must use vehicles lawfully, carefully and only for the agreed purpose. Mileage, fuel, condition and photos may be recorded at pickup and return. Smoking, unauthorized drivers, prohibited commercial use, reckless driving, unlawful activity and any use contrary to the listing rules are prohibited.
6. Cancellations, late returns and damage
Client cancellation refunds are calculated from the cancellation window configured by Garify and shown before a request is submitted. Unless the current policy says otherwise, the service fee may be retained on a client-initiated cancellation. An owner cancellation before handover triggers a full successful-payment refund and counts toward owner reliability controls. Late-return, cleaning, damage and other supported charges must be evidenced through the handover, return or dispute workflow.
7. Reviews and conduct
Reviews must reflect genuine completed experiences. Harassment, discrimination, fraud, impersonation, manipulation of ratings or attempts to bypass Garify's payment and safety processes may result in restriction or suspension.
8. Verification and platform action
Verification reduces risk but is not a guarantee of identity, conduct, vehicle quality or future performance. Garify may request additional information, pause listings, restrict accounts, reverse unsupported actions or cooperate with lawful investigations where necessary.
9. Responsibility and risk
Owners and clients remain responsible for their legal obligations, vehicle-hire agreement, insurance position, traffic offences, taxes and compliance with applicable law. Garify's liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Changes and contact
These terms may be updated as Garify develops. Material updates will be communicated through the platform where appropriate. Questions may be sent through Garify's support channels.
